Well, it has been 10 days since we disembarked. I am almost unpacked from the Princess cruises, and I am so ready to pack for our next adventure on Queen Anne
This was indeed a wonderful trip in terms of the ports we visited, and the sights we saw.
The Inca culture was fascinating,
The penguins in the Falklands were amazing.
The llamas were so cute
The eclipse was even more beautiful than I could ever imagine.
What fun to go through the Panama Canal
And that launch – a real treat!
We went from freezing glaciers, to sundrenched beaches
Sea level to 11,000 feet.
It was indeed a cruise of contrasts.
Some experiences were so much better than expected, some were very disappointing, but all in all it was a fabulous vacation, and magical at times
but there is no time to sit and dream about being back in those hot springs again.
On with the packing for our next voyage!
I find your blog very interesting and relevant.
How would you compare Princess with Cunard? We have sailed several times on the QV /QM2 in PG and are considering a suite on Princess? What are your thoughts ( if you don’t mind)
There is a lot to like on Princess, but we found the food and service not as good, and the ships felt a lot more crowded. However, the Princess itineraries are much more interesting I think, and the newer Princess ships look really beautiful. The older ones are a bit tired, but have a lovely classic feel to them.

Will just miss you on 3 May when my granddaughter and I will be leaving on Regal Princess but will see the ship in Southampton from QE 11 terminal. Looking forward to your reviews of Queen Anne. I am playing safe and going on her 3rd cruise to the Med.
Playing it safe is not a bad idea – service in the bars and dining room is very slow. I know they will get it sorted out soon, but folks on board aren’t happy. I’m OK with it – just being on board is a real treat. Have a wonderful time on Regal Princess!
I can’t wait to hear about your Queen Anne experience! Since the promenade deck on QE, QE and QM2 is my favorite place (followed by the Commodore Club), I’ve been resistant to sailing on the Queen Anne since their promenade desk is very narrow with minimal space for walking, let alone for chairs. BUT…. I’m starting to reconsider since, as a true Cunarder, I really should give it a try – and the photos look beautiful. When do you embark?
Would you believe I have been on board for 2 days and haven’t looked at the Promenade deck yet! It is also one of my favorite places on a ship, but the weather has been very nasty. Today is the day for me to venture out 🙂
