In Search of Wild Dogs – The Movie

I have posted the video from the trip on You Tube.

Not one of my better movies alas, it is particularly full of motion artifact due to being filmed from the car when the engine was running, and even my iMovie editing could not control for the shakiness.

However, it gives an idea of what our trip to Kruger was like, and you get to see skottles in action.

Enjoy!

Your blog about this trip was so enjoyable — I hadn’t even known I was interested in South African wildlife! And this video was the icing on the cake.

An acquaintance of mine has just returned from a similar trip. She said that at first it was truly unreal: there were so many animals, and such a variety, that it almost seemed like a very cleverly animated theme park — too good to be true!

Thank you very much for all your postings.

My Dad always said that Kruger was like a big zoo! Sometimes I do get that Disney feel when all of a sudden you come around a corner and there is a rhino waiting for you! If you get the chance – do try to get to a game reserve. South Africa is very reasonable at the moment, and if you chose to do self drive and self catering at Kruger it is remarkably good value. For the true bush experience I still think nothing beats Tanzania or Zambia, but once you do it, beware you will be hooked!

Safarigal – this is great. Thank you. Our trip still seems so far away.

Karen – it will be there before you know it. I can never get enough of simply watching wildlife – I am so excited that you will be doing it too a few months from now!
