Still at Sea

Well, this was a TOTALLY lazy day – trying to work out how to do my latest craft project, while sitting admiring the view from the Commodore Club, and sunbathing and swimming in the Pavilion Pool. All of this was so tiring I decided that I simply didn’t have enough energy for my evening walk, and left it up to Brian to be the energetic member of the family. It is really hot and humid, and there isn’t even a cooling breeze on the outside decks. Air conditioning and cold sparkling water are good things.

We did manage to go to Terry Waite’s party. It was actually quite good fun – he had invited the entertainers to do brief shows, and then James the hotel manager, played the piano for a good old sing along. Terry and 2 passengers also sang, and Carlo played the piano. A good time was had by all, and there were no embarrassing duck moments. Terry is quite a character.

I had hoped to catch up with on line tasks that need to be done after dinner, but the internet only seems to get worse. 45 minutes later, with not much done I decided to call it a night. I sat out on the balcony. It was still very warm, with no cooling breeze. There were loads of stars tonight. Usually you can’t see many stars because there is so much light on the open decks at night, but tonight on the balcony it was perfect.
