At sea

It is hard to think that if this had been a crossing to New York it would be packing day already. It is fantastic to think that we don’t have to worry about that for a long, long time.

The water is still splashing over our window, and we often seem to be under the waves, but the weather is improving a little. After breakfast we headed up to the Commodore Club and the waves aren’t breaking over the bow at all now. We sat there reading, and then I embarked on my cross-stitch tablecloth, which has turned out to be more of a challenge than expected.

By late afternoon the winds had subsided, and we were through the worst of the storm. It was still cold when we did our daily walk around the promenade deck, but totally manageable.

We again had drinks with friends in the Chart Room before dinner. This is really a very convenient bar; it is such a shame to see it go.
