At Sea

December 20th, 2024

The highlight of the day was the pianist Panos Karan’s talk on “Music Beyond the Concert Halls”. Panos has been bringing music to children (and it sounds like some adults as well) in the Amazon, Japan, and Africa. He seems to have a magical gift of connecting to people through his music and not only bringing music to the children, but also bringing children to perform in the US. It was a very inspiring talk.

Panos did not perform at this evening’s show, but Nick did. He has a wonderful voice, and I really enjoyed his singing. Another very talented man.

When we returned to our suite, we had chocolates again! Gone is the Turkish Delight stuff, and in its place is real chocolate. Life is good.

We also received a “save the date” for the Cape Town shoreside event on January 28th. At least now we know the timing so we can make sure we schedule our day appropriately. I am really looking forward to this.

Curious, how an you have a shoreside event on a sea day?

This is for January 28th when we will be back in Cape Town on January 28th and 29th, our 2nd time there. Our first visit is on the day after tomorrow, December 27th. It’s not an overnight this time unfortunately. I wish it was!
